Eat out in Devon at The Fox and Hounds Hotel

Fresh produce is a passion of the owners and under the guidance of Head Chef, Alex Pallat, (Chef of the Year 2010) the hotel offers simple good food served with flair. From traditional home made classics like 'Proper' Steak and Kidney Pudding (suet not pastry) to the most beautifully presented a la carte dish, your meal will be bursting with the freshest Devon ingredients. Our childrens menu offers the same excellent quality dishes we know they will love.

Warm your back by the log fire and take in the local artwrok on the walls - there are no rules regarding dress or children - our Restaurant Lounge offers a relaxed dining area to enjoy our splendid AA Rosette standard food, or when the sun shines the Garden Terrace is perfect for a drink as the sun sets over our lovely garden.

Our bar offers a choice of 3 local ciders and some mighty fine real ale drawn straight from the barrel. How much better the pint tastes when it's made just a few miles up the road. On our wine list we even feature a fabulous Devon white wine and a sparkling white from Cornwall.

Our Sunday carvery is excellent quality with a choice of 3 roasts every week, using only the finest Exmoor matured meat, plus a great choice of starters and delicious desserts. Bring the family and go around the grounds on our Wildlife Nature Trail to work off all that lunch!
