Eat out in Devon at The Fox and Hounds Country Hotel
Our bar offers a choice of 3 local ciders and some mighty fine real ale drawn from the original beer engines - you know the ones - with Royal Doulton handles depicting hand painted hunting scenes. How much better the pint tastes when it's made a few miles up the road! We even feature a fabulous Devon white wine and sparkling white from Cornwall on our list.
Warm your back by the log fire and take a glance at the art on the walls - all done by Devon artists. There are no rules regarding dress or children - the Restaurant Lounge offers a relaxed dining area to enjoy our splendid AA Rosette standard food or if we do get the promised good summer the Garden Terrace is perfect for a drink as the sun sets over our lovely garden.
Fresh produce is a passion of the owners and under the guidance of Head Chef, Alex Pallat, recent winner of the Chef of the Year 2010 (The Publican Awards) the hotel offers simple good food served with flair. From traditional home made classics, like 'Proper' Steak & Kidney Pudding (suet not pastry) to the most beautifully presented a la carte dish, your meal will be bursting with the freshest Devon ingredients. Our kids menu offers the same excellent quality dishes we know they will love.
