Fresh produce is a passion of the owners and under the guidance of Head Chef Thomas Butt the hotel offers simple good food served with flair. From traditional home made classics like ‘Proper’ Beer Battered Fish and Chips to our speciality sharing platters with Devon’s finest meat and game, your meal will be bursting with the freshest Devon ingredients. Our childrens menu offers the same excellent quality dishes we know they will love.
Warm your back by the log fire and take in the local artwork on the walls – there are no rules regarding dress or children – our Restaurant Lounge offers a relaxed dining area to enjoy our splendid food, or when the sun shines the Garden Terrace is perfect for a drink as the sun sets over our lovely garden.
Our bar offers a choice of 3 local ciders and some mighty fine real ale drawn straight from the barrel. How much better the pint tastes when it’s made just a few miles up the road. On our wine list we even feature a fabulous Devon white wine and a sparkling white from Cornwall.

Enjoy a slow-cooked, flame roasted chicken from our new rotisserie grill with all the Sunday roast trimmings for £10.95 per adult or £25 per family of 4*.
Every Sunday we have succulent free-range chicken plus one other locally sourced meat for a fantastically juicy dinner all served to your table. We can carve or you can but there’s definitely no washing up!
