The Fox and Hounds Country Hotel has 15 individually furnished en suite bedrooms, including one family suite which offers an adjoining lounge. Our Superior Doubles are spacious with four poster bed or sleigh bed, antique furniture, hairdryers and toiletries. All have tea/coffee making facilities and colour TV.
One of our rooms has a friendly ghost, but we won't tell you which one! The lady was, by her early Victorian appearance, perhaps in service for the Earl of Portsmouth who owned the estate back then. Much of the history can be studied in the lovely Eggesford Church with its spectacular monuments depicting knights in amour just 12 minutes walk away.
